Project Overview
Grow More, Spend Less is an ongoing educational workshop series that helps individuals and families take control of their food costs by learning how to grow their own vegetables and herbs. Designed with accessibility in mind, the program focuses on practical, easy-to-adopt growing methods suitable for apartments, balconies, small yards, and community garden plots.
Each session combines hands-on instruction with real-world examples, showing participants not only how to grow food, but how doing so translates into meaningful financial savings over time. Workshops are structured to meet participants at different skill levels—beginner, intermediate, and advanced—ensuring that both first-time growers and experienced gardeners gain value.
A signature element of the series is the “Money Moment,” where facilitators break down the cost of store-bought produce versus home-grown alternatives. This approach helps participants see gardening as both a wellness strategy and a financial decision, reinforcing long-term behavior change rather than one-time participation.
