Garden Crawls

The Garden Crawls were a rotating, hands-on community engagement series designed to strengthen Houston’s network of community gardens. Over the course of multiple weeks, volunteers, growers, and partners visited different garden sites to assist with planting, harvesting, rebuilding infrastructure, and addressing real-world growing challenges. Each crawl blended action with education. Participants learned directly in the field while sharing tools, techniques, and solutions across sites. The series intentionally connected gardens that often operated independently, creating a collaborative support system that extended beyond the crawl itself.
